Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford has moved his pro day workout to March 29 to accommodate NFL teams, according to his agent, Tom Condon.
Bradford had been scheduled to work out March 25, but that’s the day after the annual owners meeting in Orlando, Fla. Condon said Friday that the possibility of the meetings lasting longer than expected — with collective bargaining agreement uncertainty a key topic — prompted Bradford to move back the date.
Bradford, who’s in contention to be the first overall pick in next month’s draft, is recovering from shoulder surgery and didn’t throw at the NFL Scouting Combine two weeks ago.
Condon made it clear that the date change didn’t come because of Bradford’s shoulder.
“The change has nothing to do with Sam’s health,” Condon said. “It was moved at the request of teams and general managers.”
There will now be sufficient travel time for teams with high picks to watch Bradford at Oklahoma, Condon said.
