Raiders cut veteran DT Warren after three seasons

The Raiders have released DT Gerard Warren, NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi reported Thursday.
Warren signed a six-year, $36 million contract with the Broncos in 2006, but they traded him to the Raiders the next year. Warren made 37 starts in three seasons in Oakland.
Warren, a nine-year NFL veteran, started his career with the Browns, who selected him No. 3 overall in 2001. He was traded to the Broncos in 2005.
UPDATE: The Raiders confirmed the move later Thursday.
