Brandon Crawford and Tristan Cork, who did not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, could remember the FieldTurf in Muncie, Ind. forever if one team should take a chance and hire them before the start of the 2010 NFL season.
The Midwestern town, home to Ball State University, hosted Crawford and Cook — along with 11 other NFL hopefuls — for pro day workouts on Tuesday.
Crawford (6-3, 272), a defensive lineman from Ball State, ran a 4.99 in the 40-yard dash, had a 31-inch vertical leap, 8-10 broad jump, 4.57 short shuttle, 7.25 three cone drill and 21 bench press reps.
Cork (5-9, 192), a place-kicker from Anderson College, ran 4.56 and 4.56 in the 40, had a 38-inch vertical leap, 9-6 broad jump, 4.68 short shuttle, 7.66 three-cone drill and had 20 bench press reps.
