Seven players worked out for nine teams in attendance Monday at Tulsa’s pro day. They ran outdoors on FieldTurf in winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour. Three key guys participated, with CB John Destin putting up the best numbers.
Here’s a rundown of how the top players performed:
Destin (5-foot-11 7/8, 191 pounds) twice ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds, and he had a 34-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, 1-inch broad jump, a 6.82-second three-cone drill, a 4.15-second short shuttle and 16 bench-press repetitions.
CB Kenny Sims (5-10 3/4, 196) ran 4.55 and 4.59 seconds in the 40-yard dash, and he had a 33 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot, 7-inch broad jump, a 4.44-second short shuttle, a 7.09-second three-cone drill and 18 bench-press reps.
WR Slick Shelley looked good catching the ball, but his times weren’t noteworthy.
