Free agents making the rounds

Not every free agent visiting teams this week is a household name. In fact, with the first wave of signings over, the bargain shoppers are out and about, looking for a deal.

Here’s a running thread of some of the free agents making the rounds.

  • Restricted free-agent LB Marques Murrell is visiting the Broncos on Tuesday, according to a league source. Murrell, who spent the last three years with the Jets, has met with the Patriots as well and is drawing interest from some 3-4 teams.
  • Free-agent TE Chris Baker is set to visit the 49ers and Seahawks this week, according to a league source. Baker, who was released last week after one season with the Patriots, spent his first seven seasons with the Jets.
  • Panthers unrestricted free-agent DE Tyler Brayton is scheduled to visit the Seahawks Tuesday, according to a league source.
  • The 49ers announced Cardinals unrestricted free-agent TE Anthony Becht visited on Tuesday.
