The Jets have agreed to terms with TE Ben Hartsock, NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi confirmed Monday.
Hartsock is a six-year NFL veteran who joined the Jets last season and played in every game. He made only one catch, but it went for a 2-yard touchdown — the first of his career.
Hartsock also has played for the Colts, Titans and Falcons. He has 28 career catches for 275 yards.
UPDATE: Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum wouldn’t confirm the Hartsock deal Monday afternoon, but he said “we’re close.” Added Tannenbaum: “I don’t know if we can officially announce that yet, but I expect something to be done officially pretty soon here.”
