Free-agent CB Leigh Bodden is visiting the Texans, according to a league source.
The seven-year NFL veteran, whom the Patriots are trying to keep, has been in negotiations with New England, Houston and the Pittsburgh Steelers for several days.
Contrary to other reports, the Texans have had consistent interest, and Bodden will meet with coaches and front-office staff Sunday.
Bodden spent last season in New England, where he started 14 games and had five interceptions.
UPDATE: Fox 26 Sports caught up with Bodden at Houston’s Hobby Airport, and he sounded intrigued by the Texans. “I think it’s great having a team like the Houston Texans being interested in me,” Bodden said. “I’m just going to go here, meet the coaches, and hopefully everything goes good.”
Bodden told the TV station that he had visits scheduled with other teams, “but hopefully I don’t need it.”
