Veteran special-teams standout and backup receiver Kassim Osgood is going to sign a three-year, $6.675 million contract with the Jaguars, according to a league source. The team will announce the deal shortly.
Osgood’s deal could be worth up to $10.875 million with incentives, the source said.
On Twitter, Osgood posted a picture of his future Jaguars locker, complete with a personalized jersey. Wrote Osgood: “I’m pleased to announce J’ville is in the house! The Black and Teal Man of Steel is for real!”
Osgood spent his first seven seasons with the Chargers and was an unrestricted free agent.
