One of the few experienced free-agent-to-be quarterbacks was taken off the market late Thursday night when the Falcons signed Chris Redman to a contract extension. Terms of the deal weren’t announced.
Redman is a seven-year NFL veteran who has been with the Falcons since 2007. He started two games last season in place of injured starter Matt Ryan and appeared in six games overall. Redman passed for 781 yards last season with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
