Eastern Illinois prospects run in the cold

Eastern Illinois held its pro day on Friday, with 10 teams on hand to get a look at four players run drills indoors on Tartan Turf – except for the short shuttles. Those were run outdoors in 40-degree temperatures.
Offensive lineman Otis Hudson (6-4 5/8, 312 pounds) ran 5.17 and 5.24 seconds in the 40-yard dash, had a 26 ½-inch vertical jump, 8-9 broad jump, 4.91 short shuttle, 8.14 three-cone drill, and 21 bench press repetitions.
Offensive tackle Chris Campbell (6-5, 328) ran 5.28 and 5.29 in the 40, had a vertical of 26 ½, broad jump of 8 feet, ran the short shuttle in 4.14, three-cone drill in 8.08, and did 14 bench press reps.
Quarterback Jake Christensen (6-1 1/8, 215) ran both 40s in 4.9 seconds, had a 26 ½ vertical, 8-7 broad jump, ran a 4.24 short shuttle, 7.08 three-cone drill, did not bench press. Christensen was a transfer from Iowa.
Cornerback Shelton Penrow (5-8 5/8, 179) ran 4.51 and 4.59 40s, had a 30-inch vertical, 9-2 broad jump, ran a 4.41 short, 7.19 three-cone drill, and did 10 reps in the bench press.
