Browns agree to trade veteran DL Williams to Lions

The Browns have agreed on a trade that would send DL Corey Williams to the Lions, according to a league source, for a late-round draft pick. The deal is contingent on Williams passing a physical Friday.

The Packers traded Williams to the Browns for a second-round pick in 2008, but he played sparingly in Cleveland. The Lions are trying to rebuild their defense, and the Browns were hopeful of dealing Williams this week before his $1.7 million roster bonus was due.
