The Seahawks extended a first-round tender to C Chris Spencer, a second-round tender to DE Darryl Tapp, a fourth-round tender to G Rob Sims and a seventh-round tender to WR Ben Obomanu, the team announced Thursday.
If another team is interested in signing those restricted free agents, the Seahawks have the right of first refusal or will acquire a pick in the round of that player’s original draft status.
The Seahawks also placed an exclusive rights tender on LB David Hawthorne. Entering his third year in the league, Hawthorne has no negotiating rights with other teams and must sign a qualifying tender with Seattle or sit out the season.
The Seahawks already had placed the franchise tag on kicker Olindo Mare on Feb. 24.
The team chose not to tender OT Brandon Frye and LB Lance Laury.
Thursday is the deadline for teams to extend contract tenders to restricted free agents.
