Randle El is the latest casualty in Washington

The Redskins have released WR Antwaan Randle El, making him an unrestricted free agent and clearing more salary off their 2010 payroll.

The move to part ways with Randle El was anticipated as new coach Mike Shanahan takes over and implements his offense in Washington.

The decision to release Randle El comes on the heels of the Redskins parting ways with three other veterans – RBs Ladell Betts and Rock Cartwright and G Randy Thomas.
