Tenders are flying as teams offer late deals

Free agency is fast approaching, and teams are putting together tender offers before the March 5 start of the signing period. Here are some of the more noteworthy offers.

The Vikings have tendered DE Ray Edwards with a first-round designation, reports NFL.com’s Steve Wyche.

The Titans extended a first-round tender to TE Bo Scaife, a league source told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora, which is worth $4.908 million. La Canfora reports LB Stephen Tulloch also got a first-round tender, while RB LenDale White and DT Kevin Vickerson received second-round tenders.

Leon Washington‘s agent Alvin Keels confirmed that the team has offered his client a second-round tender.

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that the Panthers have offered the highest tender to QB Matt Moore worth $3.043 million and would require first- and third-round compensation. The team also offered a first- and third-round tender to LB Thomas Davis. The team offered original-round tenders on LB James Anderson (third), DT Tank Tyler (third) and CB C.J. Wilson, plus second-round tenders to TE Jeff King, DT Louis Leonard and CB Richard Marshall.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that OT Tyson Clabo has received a first-round tender from the Falcons. Punter Michael Koenen received a second-round tender.

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic is reporting that the Cardinals have offered a first-round tender to WR Steve Breaston, and second-round tenders to C Lyle Sendlein and NT Gabe Watson.

St. Louis will tender DT Clifton Ryan at a second-round level, and DE Victor Adeyanju at his original draft position (fourth round) according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Raiders have given an original-round tender to OL Chris Morris (seventh round) according to the Oakland Tribune.

Thursday is the deadline for teams to extend contract tenders to restricted free agents.
