Ravens extend first-round tender to Gaither

The Ravens extended a first-round tender offer to starting left tackle Jared Gaither, according to NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi.

Baltimore has given Gaither a one-year contract offer worth $2.3 million, and the team will receive a first-round pick as compensation if he signs with another team.

Gaither battled injuries and started only 11 games in 2009.
