The Dolphins have offered a first-round tender to RB Ronnie Brown according to NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi. The Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have placed an original draft-round tender on tight end Anthony Fasano, meaning Miami will receive a second-round pick if he leaves.
Brown became a focal point of the Dolphins’ offense as the team made use of the Wildcat formation. He played in only nine games in 2009 because of a foot injury, but scored eight rushing touchdowns.
Brown had an option for 2010, but the Dolphins opted not to exercise that $5 million option according to the Herald.
Fasano had 31 receptions for 339 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season.
