Chiefs release WR Darling, RB Savage

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that the club has released WR Devard Darling and RB Dantrell Savage.
The team also signed QB Tyler Palko. The 2007 undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh entered the league with the Saints. He’s also had stints with the Cardinals and Steelers.
Darling has played in 46 games (10 starts) with Baltimore (2004-07) and Kansas City (2008). The Nassau, Bahamas native spent this season on injured reserve with the Chiefs. He has 37 career receptions for 578 yards with four touchdowns. He was a third-round choice by Baltimore in 2004.
Savage played 13 career games with the Chiefs, recording 25 carries for 98 yards and nine receptions for 51 yards. He also had 34 kickoff returns for 793 yards and 14 punt returns for 53 yards. The Oklahoma State product signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent in 2008.
