Arkansas OL Petrus injures hamstring on 40 run

INDIANAPOLIS — Arkansas guard Mitch Petrus, who tied the NFL Scouting Combine record (since 2000) with 45 bench-press repetitions Friday, injured his left hamstring during his first 40-yard dash Saturday morning and won’t run again.

Petrus has an ice bag wrapped around his left leg, and it isn’t immediately clear if he’ll participate in other drills.

It’s tough to see any player pull up with an injury during the combine, but especially a projected mid-round pick such as Petrus, who’s trying to grab scouts’ attention this weekend.
