INDIANAPOLIS — LSU’s Trindon Holliday, who said Thursday that he planned to run the 40-yard dash in 4.23 seconds, will work out with the receivers at the NFL Scouting Combine.
The 5-foot-5 track star originally was to run drills solely as a return man Friday and Saturday, but he now will be included when the wide receivers hit the field Sunday.
Friday, Holliday will field punts and kickoffs when those specialists audition before scouts. Saturday, he will work out with Group 1 (mostly offensive linemen), running the 40 and participating in other agility drills. Sunday, he will join Group 4 as a wide receiver and complete all the skill drills for that position.
In college, Holliday caught just seven passes for 72 yards, as he was primarily a return specialist and change-of-pace running back.
