INDIANAPOLIS — Let me be the first to say welcome to our coverage of the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine, a warm welcome from a very snowy Indiana. The NFL.com crew landed (well, that’s not entirely true as some made the drive from Chicago after a canceled flight) late Wednesday, and we’re ready to bring you the latest on what promises to be another interesting combine week.
For now, a sizeable media contingent is waiting inside Lucas Oil Stadium for the day’s media availability to begin. On the pro side, those scheduled to be available: 49ers GM Scot McCloughan, 49ers coach Mike Singletary, Lions coach Jim Schwartz, Bills coach Chan Gailey, Steelers director of football operations Kevin Colbert, Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland and Chiefs GM Scott Pioli.
With a few exceptions expected, here’s a quick look at when the 329 players who were invited to the combine this year are scheduled to meet with the media:
Thursday, Feb. 24: Specialists, offensive linemen and tight ends
Friday, Feb. 25: Quarterbacks, wide receivers and running backs
Saturday, Feb. 26: Defensive linemen and linebackers
Sunday, Feb. 27: Defensive backs
