The Titans are working on retaining two potential free agents, center Kevin Mawae and guard Eugene Amano, according to a league source.
Re-signing both veteran offensive linemen is a priority for the team, and deals for both could be completed well before the start of free agency next month.
Mawae and Amano form one of the best center-guard combinations in the league and were part of the reason that Chris Johnson rushed for more than 2,000 yards last season. They also are keys to the protection of QB Vince Young.
The Titans traditionally are a run-heavy team that relies on superior play on both sides of the line of scrimmage under coach Jeff Fisher.
