Free-agent WR Donte’ Stallworth will work out for the Lions on Thursday, NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi reported on NFL Total Access.
Stallworth was released by the Browns earlier in the week, and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the Boston Globe that the receiver had a Wednesday workout scheduled with an unidentified NFL team. It isn’t known if that workout was supposed to be with the Lions and pushed back one day.
The NFL suspended Stallworth for the 2009 season after he pleaded guilty in June to DUI manslaughter for striking and killing a pedestrian with his car in Miami Beach, Fla.
Stallworth, 29, has 296 receptions for 4,383 yards and 32 touchdowns in his NFL career, which started in 2002.
