Colts DE Freeney will test ankle in warmups

Colts DE Dwight Freeney, who is nursing an injured ankle, arrived at Sun Life Stadium well before the rest of his teammates Sunday.

Freeney is still expected to play in Sunday’s Super Bowl. NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reprots that Freeney has not participated in any football activities this week. Instead, Freeney has been working on putting more and more weight on his injured ankle and walking around.

Freeney’s true test will come during warmups when he will be working on pushing off, and doing football moves with the Colts’ training staff.
