FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – From Roger Goodell to Jamie Foxx, Usher and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Welcome to the Super Bowl.
Minutes after leaving the commissioner’s news conference Friday afternoon and descending two sets of escalators back to Radio Row, I was met by a mass of bodies in the corner outside the SIRIUS Radio sets. Initially, that meant one of three things – food, a celebrity or Miss America.
This time it was Foxx with Usher and Mayweather, who were broadcasting live. There are big numbers of friends and families on Radio Row today, providing the necessary numbers to create the mob that went three deep as digital cameras went overhead to get a shot.
It’s the biggest commotion I’ve seen this week. I wasn’t entirely surprised to see that Usher was wearing sunglasses – indoors – when he slid out the back. I guess with all the cameras popping off, it was somewhat excusable.
