FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — It was quite the sight Wednesday when one No. 28 — Titans RB Chris Johnson — was next to another No. 28 — Marshall Faulk — on the NFL Network set.
You can check out the video for the entire segment above, but Johnson gave an account of the team meeting that took place prior to the Titans’ regular-season finale. You won’t believe what he said.
Talking with Johnson as he walked out, he said it was special to sit next to Faulk, who he had met only one other time. You could tell he meant it. What you notice when you see Johnson up close is that he’s not a big person. He said today he plays at 200 pounds.
Johnson may be quiet, but don’t think he’s bashful. He’s not afraid to put it out there, which to me is refreshing. When the Titans were 0-6, he said they would run the table (he came close on that one). He said today if he remains focused, he thinks he can become the first back to rush for 2,000 yards twice. Imagine that.
