Super Bowl Media Day … stay tuned

MIAMI – Good morning, it’s Media Day at Super Bowl XLIV.
If you’ve experienced past Media Day coverage, I’m not sure there’s much else to say. If you haven’t, well, stay tuned over the next four-plus hours.
Media Day for me started like this: After getting in my SUV, I wondered aloud if Kellie Pickler would be here this year (flashback, I say this every year). My managing editor replied, “She’s so 2007.”
So there you have it. A good start for what’s about to take place.
There is one very big change for Super Bowl XLIV Media Day. Due to the threat of inclement weather, the NFL moved today’s media day indoors. You won’t see the mass of media engulf players along the sidelines. Instead, you’ll see them engulf the players at their podiums on the club level of the stadium. It will be absolutely packed in here, something you’ll see via the photos and videos we post later. While I’m fearing the worst, I’m extremely thankful it’s air conditioned — I suffered a sun burn on the right side of my face last year at Raymond James Stadium.
