Payton, Saints’ Pro Bowl players lighten the mood

Saints coach Sean Payton is a disciple of Bill Parcells, but he took a motivational trick from legendary 49ers coach Bill Walsh.

Payton and the Saints’ Pro Bowl players, who arrived in South Florida on Sunday, dressed as bellhops to greet the rest of the team when it arrived Monday to prepare for Super Bowl XLIV.

Walsh dressed as a bellhop to greet his 49ers players as they checked into their Michigan hotel before Super Bowl XVI. The 49ers went on to win the first of three Super Bowl titles under Walsh after he pulled the stunt. No doubt Saints fans are looking for similar results.
