Garrard appreciates Peyton, but picks against him

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Everyone loves a good prediction. I’ve been sidestepping most Super Bowl conversations this week, as we’ll have all of next week to take care of those. But the buildup is unavoidable, and Jaguars QB David Garrard caught my attention today while when a conversation about the big game broke out.
As a Pro Bowl alternate, Garrard was selected to the Pro Bowl when Peyton Manning and the Colts advanced to the Super Bowl. He got a week’s vacation out of their win. Even still, he’s showing Manning no love.
“You know what? I’m very appreciative of Peyton going to the Super Bowl and allowing me to be here, but I’m really want the Saints to win,” Garrard said. “We see so much of the Colts every year, all the time. We know how good they are. My numbers would probably say that the Colts will probably win, but I’m really pulling for the Saints to pull an upset.”
For the record, Garrard picks Colts in an absolute shootout, 53-45.
