Boise State’s Wilson rolls like a big shot

MOBILE Ala. — One of the most impressive players at this week’s Under Armour Senior Bowl practices was Boise State CB Kyle Wilson. And it wasn’t only for his on-field performance, which was outstanding, but instead for his promotional bus.
Taking a page from John Madden, who popularized the “Madden Cruiser,” Wilson’s brother showed up at the Senior Bowl in his own RV. Plastered all over the sides were pictures of Wilson and an advertisement for his website (http://www.kdub1.com/).
Long gone are the days when Boise State was mocked as that little school with the blue smurf turf and the plucky underdog status. The Broncos have established themselves as a national powerhouse, and Wilson represents that increase in stature.
There was plenty of buzz about his exceptional athletic ability and coverage skills at the Senior Bowl, and, if anything, his bus shows he’s not afraid of the limelight. It worked, as he certainly got the attention of everyone in attendance.
