FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — You know, I was just thinking recently how I could use a new pair of tennis shoes. I’ll have to go buy some, it looks like. But it’s good to be a Pro Bowler if you’re in need of some shoes.

The NFC bus just returned from practice a little bit ago, and waiting in the team’s hotel lobby were dozens and dozens of free shoes from Nike. Donovan McNabb sure was excited to get his “government cheese.” Everybody was. Dudes were walking away with two, three, four boxes of new kicks.

Why can’t Nike share with me? Think any players will share with me? I’m probably about Tony Romo‘s size.
