Alabama’s Cody gives Gator fan the stiff-arm

MOBILE Ala. — One of the most interesting subplots of Senior Bowl week has been watching how the various players from throughout the SEC react to being on the same South team here.

For the most part, they seem to be getting along well. There is far too much at stake to let such petty differences get in the way, after all.

But that does not mean that the ingrained rivalries they were a part of the last four years have completely disappeared.

When mammoth Alabama defensive tackle Terrence Cody was approached by a Florida fan, who wanted him to sign his Gators helmet, an offended Cody shook his head in disgust and said, “Nah, man,” before turning his back and quickly walking the other way.
