Favre, Winfield out of Pro Bowl; Romo, Jenkins in

Vikings QB Brett Favre (ankle) and CB Antoine Winfield (foot) pulled out of the Pro Bowl because of injuries Monday, one day after their NFC Championship Game loss to the Saints. Their spots will be filled by two Cowboys — QB Tony Romo and CB Mike Jenkins.

It will be the third Pro Bowl appearance for Romo and the first for Jenkins. The Cowboys have nine Pro Bowl selections, sixth-most in franchise history.

Earlier Monday, 14 players were added to the Pro Bowl rosters to replace members of the Colts and Saints who can’t participate because their teams are in the Super Bowl.

The Pro Bowl is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 31 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.
