Bears’ Knox headed to the Pro Bowl

Bears WR/KR Johnny Knox was informed Monday that he will play in this weekend’s Pro Bowl, a league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora. It isn’t clear who Knox will replace on the NFC team.
It’s not a bad way to cap a rookie season for the fifth-round draft pick out of Division II Abilene Christian. Knox established himself early on in the season as a reliable target for QB Jay Cutler, finishing with 527 yards and five touchdowns on 45 catches. But Knox’s impact was felt most on special teams, where he totaled 927 yards on 32 kick returns, including a 102-yard touchdown against the Lions in Week 4.
UPDATE: The Bears announced later Monday that Knox will replace Vikings rookie Percy Harvin (migraine headaches) as the NFC team’s kick returner.
