Shockey takes part in walkthrough, expected to play

Saints TE Jeremy Shockey is making good progress with a knee injury that has kept him out of practice all week, and it appears he will be able to play Sunday against the Vikings, according to team sources.

Shockey, who’s a key cog in the Saints’ attack, took part in a walkthrough Saturday and was moving much better, the sources said.

Shockey will work out again Sunday afternoon to test the knee before the NFC Championship Game, but there is a sense among players and coaches that he will be able to play.
