Shockey, Sharper among Saints to miss practice

The Saints were without FS Darren Sharper (knee), TE Jeremy Shockey (right knee), WR Robert Meachem (left ankle) and CB Malcolm Jenkins (hamstring) at Wednesday’s practice.

However, coach Sean Payton said he was optimistic all would all be ready to play in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Vikings.

Sharper typically sits out practices on Wednesdays, as has been his schedule all season.

Shockey had three catches for 36 yards and a touchdown in last week’s win against Arizona, while Meachem was held without a reception.
