Gaines Adams’ funeral set for Friday in South Carolina

The funeral for Bears DE Gaines Adams has been scheduled for 1 p.m. ET Friday at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, S.C.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Specialized Foster Homes Services at 1201 E. Cambridge Avenue, Greenwood, S.C. 29646.

Cards and letters can be sent to Linda and Gaines Adams, Sr. at 720 Montague Avenue, Greenwood, S.C. 29649.

Adams, who died of cardiac arrest Sunday, joined the Bears in a mid-season trade and played in 10 games. He started his career with the Buccaneers, who drafted him No. 4 overall in 2007, and had 13.5 sacks in two-plus seasons.
