Mike Tice, who was a member of Jack Del Rio’s staff in Jacksonville and is the former coach of the Vikings, has agreed on a new deal to become the Bears offensive line coach, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
The Bears continue their search for an offensive coordinator and are actively interviewing candidates. Tice, who held the title of assistant head coach/tight ends with the Jaguars, interviewed in Chicago earlier this week.
The Bears may also turn to former Buffalo assistant offensive line coach Ray Brown to hold the same position there, according to sources. Brown was among the Bills coaches allowed to pursue other opportunities at the end of the season.
