Cold weather can’t slow Fandemonium

Hey NFL Fans!

What an incredible Wild-Card Weekend! The ‘Boys got the 13-year-old monkey off their backs, Aaron Rodgers threw for 400 yards with 4 TDs and loses, and I was in frigid Cincy to watch Mark “The Sanchise” Sanchez lead the New York Jets over the Bengals for the second straight week.

I had so many emotions running through me while on the sidelines in Cincinnati for the AFC wild-card game. First, there is nothing better than playoff football! It was “go hard” or “go home” and Chad Ochocinco was talking and yelling like crazy to pump up his team. Second, it was a low of 4 degrees… FOUR DEGREES! I am from Hawaii for goodness sake and the first thing I did in Cincy was to run to the nearest department store to buy myself a new coat! Despite the tiny temperature, Gang Green fans made the trip from New York to support their team. They showed some incredible Fandemonium by arriving in a visiting stadium early and starting the “J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!” chants during warm-ups.

As the Monster Director of Fandemonium, I did have a responsibility to perform. With the help of the NFL staff, I inspected all player uniforms and field sidelines and logos. I had no idea how specific every little detail of the NFL needs to be. It was an extremely important job, because fines uniform violations in the playoffs jump up to $50,000 to $75,000 for an infraction! At least the NFL gives all player fines to charitable organizations.

After braving the elements, I headed up to the press box to thaw out and see the media side of the NFL playoffs. It was so cool to see reporters from two competing cities work together to produce the best — and quickest — Information to fans. The Department of Fandemonium was tweeting fast and furious just to keep up!

But speaking of keeping up, we are now down to our FINAL six candidates to be the next Director of Fandemonium. Check out their video profiles and comment on Facebook at and then go vote at Not only will you help choose the next Director, but one lucky voter will win a trip for two to the Super Bowl.
