Bengals’ Jeanty out with fractured fibula

The Bengals had a tough setback in Saturday’s wild-card game against the Jets, losing starting LB Rashad Jeanty to an injury that will keep him out for the duration of the postseason.
Jeanty was injured on the game’s opening kickoff return, when teammate Abdul Hodge rolled into his lower left leg. Jeanty had to be helped off the field. The Bengals announced later during the first quarter that Jeanty had sustained a fractured fibula.
Jeanty’s loss is significant for the Bengals — he was inserted into the starting lineup after the season-ending injury to MLB Rey Maualuga. It looks as though backup LB Brandon Johnson will fill Jeanty’s spot.
