Giants’ Ross joins list of GM candidates in Seattle

All four candidates vying for the Seahawks’ general manager vacancy are now known.

Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross has been approached about interviewing for the vacancy, according to a league source, joining the three other finalists we already determined early this week.

The Seahawks also have scheduled interviews with Eagles GM Tom Heckert, Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta and Packers director of football operations John Schneider.

The team began contacting its finalists Monday, and formal interviews likely will begin next week. The┬áperson who gets this job will help determine coach Jim Mora‘s status for 2010 after the team’s horrible finish to 2009.
