Woodson expected to be ready for Packers

Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson spent the second half of last Sunday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals watching from the sidelines after sustaining a shoulder injury. When the teams meet for the rematch in the wild-card round of the playoffs, Woodson is expected to be back on the field.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Monday he fully expects Woodson to be ready to play when the Packers travel to Arizona, characterizing the injury as a shoulder strain. McCarthy added that Woodson will go through similar preparation as he has in recent weeks.

Woodson, who has been bothered by the nagging injury for at least a month, left the game late in the first half.
