Patriots WR Edelman a postseason fantasy sleeper

The New England Patriots might have lost WR Wes Welker due to an injured knee suffered against Buffalo in Week 17.

In fact, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports initial tests revealed damage to both the ACL and MCL. The injury is likely season-ending.

If that scenario comes to fruition, fantasy owners playing the NFL Playoff Challenge should get familiar with WR Julian Edelman.

With Welker on the sidelines, Edelman caught a team-high 10 passes for 103 yards against the Houston Texans.

Edelman would look to fill Welker’s shoes in the offense and could see a ton of targets in the Wild Card round.
