With their playoff seed secure, the San Diego Chargers are resting several starters who are battling injuries Sunday against the Washington Redskins.

The Chargers deactivated DE Jacques Cesaire, WR Vincent Jackson, LB Shawne Merriman and FS Eric Weddle, all of whom — with the exception of Cesaire – missed practice Friday. Merriman (foot) and Weddle (knee) were listed as doubtful for the game, while Cesaire (elbow) and Jackson (Achilles) were officially questionable.

The Redskins deactivated DT Albert Haynesworth (hip), who had been listed as questionable.
