Bills expect Brohm to make first start

The Bills expect newcomer Brian Brohm to make his first NFL start Sunday against the Falcons because starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is battling an ankle injury.
The Bills signed Brohm, a 2008 second-round draft pick, off the Packers’ practice squad last month, and he had been Buffalo’s No. 3 QB, behind Fitzpatrick and Trent Edwards (who’s also injured).
A Bills source said Sunday morning that it is “more than likely” that Brohm will start against the Falcons, though Fitzpatrick will try to get through warmups to test his injury. Fitzpatrick was unable to practice all week.
Update: Fitzpatrick and Edwards are inactive, so Brohm will start.
