Titans rally to make this a game

NASHVILLE – Excellent drill by the Titans, and we’ve got ourselves a game again, 21-10, with the Titans getting the ball to start the second half.
Vince Young was superb on Tennessee’s final drive of the half, finding players in the flats against the blitz and making two huge runs, including the quarterback draw for a touchdown. When this guy tucks the ball and takes off, no one is better in the NFL from the QB position.
A few years back throwing the early pick and then the unfortunate fumble would have been enough to render him useless the rest of the day. Now, he’s rallying from it and rallying his team. Another sign of his marked progress.
Titans actually come out of the half with more yards than the Chargers. The penalties and turnovers have been the difference. If the Titans can find a way to slow down the Chargers’ passing game just a little bit, you never know. Again, the pass rush has been pretty stout. They’re forcing Philip Rivers to pick up his feet and move off the spot … he’s just still making plays. I like the Titans DL vs. the Chargers OL in the second half, though, and remember, Chargers C Nick Hardwick had been out since Week 1 with an ankle injury, so his game legs and conditioning can’t be there yet.
