Cards WR Fitzgerald should be safe to start

According to NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora, Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (knee) is expected to play against the Lions. Barring setbacks, he should be safe to use in fantasy leagues.

La Canfora also reports that Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) is expected to play today against the Jets. He’s a risk-reward option for owners. Eagles TE Brent Celek (thumb) will be active against the 49ers and is safe to use in all formats.

In St. Louis, Rams RB Steven Jackson (back, flu) will play against the Texans. QB Keith Null will start in the absence of QBs Marc Bulger and Kyle Boller, so upgrade the Texans defense.

Speaking of the Eagles, their game against the Niners has been moved to a 4:15pm EST start due to a snowstorm that hit the area yesterday. The storm also forced the Ravens to move their game against the Bears to 4:15pm EST as well.

Here are a few other games that have inclement weather in the area:

Patriots at Bills – Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a few flurries, temperature 24-26 degrees. Winds 10-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph. Wind chill 9-16 degrees. Fantasy owners should use all of their regular starters.

Falcons at Jets – Cloudy with a 30 percent chance of snow showers up until kickoff. Flurries possible during the game. Temperature 28-29 degrees. Winds 15-30 mph, wind chill 15-20 degrees. Fantasy owners should use all of their regular starters.

Packers at Steelers – Slight chance of flurries late in the game. Temperature 27-29 degrees. Winds 4-8 mph, wind chill upper teens to mid 20s. Fantasy owners should use all of their regular starters.

Buccaneers at Seahawks – Rain showers likely, temperature around 50 degrees. Winds 5-10 mph. Wet conditions could hurt the pass attacks of both teams, but showers shouldn’t keep owners from starting Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck or Buccaneers WR Antonio Bryant.
