The Eagles expect RB Brian Westbrook to return to practice fully next week, barring any setbacks, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

Westbrook has been out for much of the season after suffering two concussions, and he was limited in practice this week. He hasn’t suffered any post-concussion symptoms since resuming exercise, and the Eagles hope no symptoms will emerge before Wednesday, the first full day of practice next week.

If Westbrook can fully practice without symptoms, then a determination about when he would next play will be made. The issue now is conditioning, with Westbrook going so long without practicing or playing that he might need more than just a few practice sessions to be ready for a game.
