Colts DE Robert Mathis, whose status for Thursday night’s meeting with the Jaguars was a game-time decision, is active and expected to start. And, as NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi reported earlier in the day, Colts DE Dwight Freeney also is active and expected to play.
The Jaguars will have veteran CB Rashean Mathis, who was listed as questionable with a groin injury. Mathis missed the previous four games because of the injury. The Jaguars did deactivate LB Clint Ingram, who had been listed as doubtful because of a shoulder injury.
There were no other surprises among the other inactives for either team.
The Colts already had ruled out RB Donald Brown and DB Jerraud Powers. The Colts’ other inactives: K Adam Vinatieri, WR Anthony Gonzalez, FS Aaron Francisco, OT Michael Toudouze, TE Tom Santi and DE Ervin Baldwin.
The Jaguars’ other inactives: WR Tiquan Underwood, SS Courtney Greene, LB James Wyche, OT Tra Thomas, OG Paul McQuistan, DE Julius Williams and DT Greg Peterson.
Update: Freeney and Mathis started for the Colts.
