Cable: Gradkowski ‘day to day’ with sprained knees

Raiders coach Tom Cable said Monday that Bruce Gradkowski has medial collateral sprains in both knees and termed the QB’s status as “day to day.”

Gradkowski was injured late in the first quarter of Sunday’s 34-13 loss to the Redskins and didn’t return to the game. JaMarcus Russell, who lost his starting job to Gradkowski in Week 11, played the rest of the game but struggled.

Cable said one of Gradkowski’s knees was in worse shape than the other, but the coach wasn’t sure if it was the left or the right.
