Merriman, Castillo active for Chargers

The Chargers’ list of inactive players for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys did not include LB Shawne Merriman or DT Luis Castillo.

Both players are expected to play today. Merriman (foot) was listed as questionable after missing last week’s game against the Browns, while Castillo (calf) was probable after missing the last two games.

Chargers FS Eric Weddle (knee), who was doubtful, was deactivated for the second straight week. Backup Steve Gregory is expected to start in his place. The Chargers had already ruled out C Nick Hardwick (ankle) and DE Alfonso Boone (knee).
